The Resurrection tier exists for those sites. It's a one-time scoped engagement that gets the site into a state where ongoing maintenance is actually meaningful.

What Resurrection Covers

• Diagnostic audit — full inventory of theme, plugins, PHP version, database health, broken redirects, security posture, Core Web Vitals, and outstanding WordPress core debt
• Code modernization — deprecated functions replaced (the widget_init and PHP 8 compatibility tax that breaks half of pre-2020 themes)
• Security re-armament — malware removal, file-permission audit, hardening (admin URL, login throttling, 2FA), and a clean baseline backup
• Performance baseline — image compression, caching layer, render-blocking script triage, and a documented Lighthouse score before/after
• SEO recovery — broken redirect cleanup, schema validation, sitemap regeneration, and Indexing API submission to get Google re-crawling the salvaged URLs

What You Get at the End

A "State of the Site" report — markdown, version-controlled, written in plain English — that documents what was broken, what was fixed, what was left alone (and why), and what should be watched. From there, the site is ready to roll into an Essentials or Growth maintenance plan, or you can take the documentation and go elsewhere.

Pricing

Scoped per site. The audit alone is $500 and is credited toward the engagement if you proceed. Most full resurrections land between $1,500 and $5,000 depending on the damage.

When Resurrection Is NOT the Right Call

If the site is more than 8 years old, runs on a heavily customized theme nobody documented, and isn't tied to existing SEO equity worth saving — a rebuild on a modern stack is cheaper than resurrection. We'll tell you that. The point of this tier is to unlock trapped value, not to revive things that should be retired.
